Slot machines?

Question

I heard somewhere that all slot machines only play 3 musical notes (tones?) Is this true?

What are they?

I'm working on something....Knowledge is power!

We just moved to Oklahoma last year and so far have managed to stay out of the casinos.  BUT....I've had my weak moments...especially when they have slot machines in every gas station and now even in some FAST FOOD places!!!  They are everywhere!!!  I swear sometimes you can even hear them calling out your name!!!  We've gone to shows at a couple of the larger casinos but my Hubby doesn't gamble so when I'm with him it's a no-no!!!  I may just have to go to one to do some research on your theory though!!!  I adore the slot machines, you know the little cheapy ones.  I also love to play poker but I'm not much good.  It's all the for the thrill.  I stay away because I know the odds are stacked against you!!!  I know too many people here that are truly addicted!!!  Sorry I cannot help you more!!! BUT...I have joined a Bunko club and we play once a month!!  Can't wait to start that!!!  Cocktails, bunko and nothing but us dames!!!

Todays slot machines are mass produced software driven computers, they can make any kind of sount they want, i particularly hate the one slot machine that makes the elephant noise.
