Slovenia International: Heumann Manuel tames Paul Demmelmayer in Men’s Singles qualifying round
Germany’s emerging player Heumann Manuel delivered superb performance in Men’s Singles qualifying round when he defeated Paul Demmelmayer of Austria and surged into main round of Slovenia International 2012 on Thursday, May 10, in Slovenia.
The German shuttler was in his prime form as he won all of his matches in qualifying round with impressive margin.
In his match against Demmelmayer, Manuel put up a gutsy show and toppled him in straight games while taking 41 minutes in the court.
On the other hand, the Austrian could not live up to expectations as he failed to escape defeat from his in-form German opponent and crashed out in the qualifying round.
Manuel started his run in opening game in a stunning fashion as he set up a remarkable lead over his opponent at the early stage.
Demmelmayer, on the other hand, failed to put up strong show as he could not place his smashes in gaps and also remained struggling to positive badminton at net.

After the break, Manuel again played with aggression and he did not let his opponent to dominate the pace.

In the meanwhile, Manuel remained consistent and took the game with a one-sided margin of 21-12.
In the second game, Demmelmayer changed his tactics and remained aggressive in the court this time.
He played attacking badminton and remained close to his German opponent until the mid-game break.
After the break, the German changed his tactical play as he showed aggression at net and also managed to push his rival on the back foot.
The in-form Manuel played remarkable badminton in the concluding part of second game and also maintained his upper hand over his Austrian opponent.
The German was impressive in his shot selection and finished up the second game with a margin of 21-18.
Manuel emerged as the winner against Demmelmayer in this 41-minute qualifying round battle with a 21-12 and 21-18 margin on the board.
