Slovenia International: Lucas Claerbout crushes Leonov Kyrylo in Men’s Singles first round

France’s experienced player Lucas Claerbout found a perfect start as he easily won his Men’s Singles first round contest against Ukraine’s Leonov Kyrylo at the FORZA Slovenia International 2013 on Friday, May 10, in Slovenia.
The impressive Lucas, who is the eighth seeded male shuttler in the tournament, played remarkable badminton in the opening round contest and he easily managed to outplay his Ukrainian opponent in just 23 minutes.
French shuttler played with great speed and precision and managed to end up the journey of his challenger by ending up the match in a completely one-sided manner in straight sets with a superb 21-12 and 21-8 score on the board.
On the other hand, the un-seeded Leonov could not play attacking and positive game as he failed to match the pace of rallies. He failed to stop the progress of his French opponent and lost the match without putting up strong show.
Lucas showed a wonderful aggression in the arena from the initial points of first set by building a huge pressure on his opponent.
The hard-to-learn variations in Lucas’s shots helped him to maintain his domination against his challenger in the arena.
It was Lucas who did not show any respect to his spirited challenger in the starting half and took a tremendous lead in the arena.
The aggressive Lucas remained comfortable in the arena after the mid-game interval as he played with the same approach.
Lucas did not reduce the pace of the game at any stage and comfortably grabbed the first set with a smashing 21-12 margin on the board.
Things were similar in the second game when the French shuttler kept a firm control over the pace of rallies. He continued playing attacking badminton and managed to stay on the driving seat.
Lucas was in incredible control of the game and he remained successful in establishing a comfortable gap until the end of first half.
Leonov failed to show strong performance in the second game of this fight as his opponent Lucas played better game and secured the set with a stunning 21-8 margin on the board.
