Slow Blackberry Pearl 8110?

Hey! Okay so i got my new Blackberry Pearl 8110 just recently.. I tried looking on the AT&T website and stuff, but nothing seemed to be direct enough. The phone is lagging so much, especially when I'm texting. When I hit reply to a message, the phone locks up for a good 13 seconds or so.. and then I'll type my message, [this part works fine], and when i send the message, the phone freezes up on THAT screen where i just pressed send.. for another 45 seconds at least.. I dont know what to do. It's slow, and lagging. I tried taking out the battery and putting it back in.. but it just shows an hourglass for .. ever.... and then when it finally starts up again it's still slow. DAH! so annoying. help :[

Yup, mine did that too. it was awful. but mine would ramdomly turn off maybe 4 times a day, then turn on with the hour glass thing.

if the phone is new get in touch with customer service, tell them your problems, maybe you will have to do a phone exchange!!!!
