Slow Internet Problem?

i used speedtest.net and im only getting 300/300 kbs downloaded and uploaded

why is it so slow? how can i increase my bandwidth

computer or internet problem?

what are you paying for from your ISP?

for example, I have AT&T Broadband DSL Home Service that is 384kbps to 1.5Mbps (best effort).  My speed stays at the low end and are usually 384kbps...and AT&T can't do anything about it...it's 'best effort' because I'm quite a ways from the switch and the distance is one factor in how fast the connection will go.  

If you are paying for 3Mbps cable service and are only getting 300, then there is a problem...contact your ISP.
