Slow Internet Speed (Please help!!!)?

Question

So I'm using Netgear WG111v3 (Wireless) and for some reason my connection speed is SOOOO Slow.

I've had it for about 6 months now, and it works fine, and it started doing this in this month. And I know it's not my computer because I am some what of a computer geek.

-There's only one other person that uses the internet besides me and he uses a laptop.

-Whenever I turn off the router and turn it back on, for the first 30 sec to a minute, it runs great but then starts to slow down, eventually becoming REALLY slow.

-My connection speed has 4 bars out of 5 and is Excellent in speed.

try turning off & on the router and the modem

maybe it is becouse that other person who uses ur wifi connection downloads too much! with some routers u can limit the speed of internet for certian users on ur wifi network. so maybe u can try to limit his speed!
