Slow download speeds on newly built computer

Question

I just built a new gaming computer and I'm getting slower download speeds than my previous computer had. I usually get 140kbs on my older POS computer and on this one I get 70-100kbs speed. It has been this slow ever since I first turned it on and have no idea what is causing the problem.

I'm using a alltel wireless broadband usb card.

Any help would be highly appreciated, thank you!

it's your internet connection type
