Slow moving Zombies or the really fast ones?

Which ones do you tend to enjoy watching more? I like the slow moving ones. They're scary because you think you can escape them, then you turn around and one snuck up on you to bite your face off. I have a friend who definitely prefers the fast ones. He says they're more primal. What do you think?

  1. Fast ones are scarier. The slow moving ones just don't seem that threatening to me. The fast moving ones are actually fresher as they rot they lose their energy.

  2. Gota go with the fast ones here, if you remember the 1980s remake of Night of the Living Dead, you would remember that the woman got away from the slow movers in the end, that wouldnt have happened with the 28 Days Later zombies, she would be dead in a heartbeat, but of course none of them are too scary if you follow the survival guid word for word.

  3. I myself prefer the slower ones.  In horror films and games where the zombies move slower, it produces a more suspenseful and horrific atmosphere than faster moving zombies.  When a zombie can move really fast, they tend to lose horrific values and give off a presence similar to that if a normal human where chasing you.  Thus I would say slower zombies for those who prefer a darker & scarier aspect and faster ones for those who prefer a lighter but more action oriented aspect.

  4. The fast ones scare the c**p out of me 1)because I can't run 2) if they catch off guard you're pretty much ******.

  5. I love the fast zombies, I always picture zombie movies as real life, and say you don't no there is a zombie invasion and you see a slow zombie looking creature coming after you, you have time to think and get away. However, with fast zombies forget about it they can tackle you and chase you no matter where you go.

Long live the movie 28 Days Later!

  6. I think that the slower ones are scarier, but the faster ones are more realistic, which makes the zombie movies more realistic.

  7. Well, i'd say the fast ones. I know they're spooky cause i have dreamed about them coming at me and friends inside a drained swimming pool

  8. Definatly the slow moving ones because even though they are going slow they never stop and it brings more suspense to the situation, just like how a killer in a movie chases his victim he doesn't run making it much more scarier

  9. I have scene fast motion camera tricks in numbers of movies before 28 days later and it was cool for the effect they were going for....like flittering faries and such.

But the first fast moving zombie I ever saw was 28 days later and oh my god it scared the bejeebus outta' me.  They don't give any warning as to when they're gonna' zip on ya' and you can be caught in a seconds notice.  If you are expecting them to be slow and tenacious only to be caught off guard and zipped by a fast mover, you're screwed.

The slow ones always seemed pointless to me.  "Oh it's just a zombie.  I can run and get away from them, since they are stumped to limp after me.  But true enough they never stop.

But definitely I prefer to be scared by fast zippers.

  10. Slow ones, especially the ones that crawl on the ground toward you!!!
