Slow speed when importing my cd into itunes

hi, peeps, can any geeks help me, im importing my cds via apple lossless, because ive got 160gb classic and most of my listening is via home hifi, my question is why was one of my cds painfully slow to import, was it because it was my own copy of original cd which i done on my cd recorder, or has that nothing to do with it at all. Thanks

Make sure in itunes you don't have checked use error correction. That will slow down the import time.  Also check to make sure you have the lastest firmware for your cd drive.
