  1. they dehydrate and die!

  2. Slugs and snails move around by making lots of mucus and sliding over it.  Salt dries up the mucus and the slug's glands go into overtime trying to make more so it can escape.  If there's enough salt, the slug will become completely dehydrated and die.

  3. Snails???????

  4. dont know but its disgusting,i leave them alone and one of my lads just has to pour salt on them and they leave such a mess after frothing its horrible

  5. ther made of jello

  6. aah slugs, the food of some wildlife.........I would think slugs react to salt because salt absorbs  moisture, and they are just that, moisture.

  7. You know what's REALLY crazy? Put a slug in a shot of pure ammonia. It's good times.

Also another fun fact... If you put a cup of beer in you garden slugs are naturally attracted to it and will flock to it and drink it. I'm not sure if it's the alcohol effect or what but they will eventually fall into the cup of beer and drown. Good Times!
