Former Russian defender lamented CSKA Moscow’s 2-0 Russian Premier League defeat against Lokomotiv Moscow and admitted that the Koni missed a decent midfielder.
CSKA Moscow failed to reduce the gap from the league leaders, Zenit St. Petersburg, after dropping all three points against Lokomotiv Moscow in the latest round of Russian Premier League action at Luzhniki stadium.
First half strikes from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Felipe-Caicedo-c13525 were enough to decide the fate of the match. Having failed to dominate the midfield region, the Armeytsy suffered their first defeat of the third league round.
In the aftermath of the outcome, well known football analyst, Yevgeni Bushmanov, lamented CSKA’s latest defeat and blamed Leonid Slutsky, the Koni head coach, for deploying poor tactics against the Railroaders.
Bushmanov revealed that the Russian tactician was at fault as he played Pontus Wernbloom as a holding midfielder against experienced Lokomotiv midfieldersDenis Glushakov, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dmitri-Torbinski-c11423 and Magomed Ozdoyev.
Speaking on Wernbloom, the former FC Khimki assistant manager went on to admit that the Swedish player, who has joined the Russian outfit during the winter transfer window, failed to cope up with the pressure playing against three
decent midfield players.
Bushmanov admitted that the Koni head coach made a mistake starting the match with the same squad he named against Spartak Moscow. He added that the Myaso like to play long balls but Lokomotiv play a completely different game as
compared to the Red-whites.
The Russian national went on to admit that CSKA would have won the match had Slutsky played with a different composition.
"Lokomotiv started confidently but CSKA, in my opinion, played better football.
"Spartak operate little from the midfield and rely heavily upon long balls. Therefore, to fill the centre of midfield against Spartak was not so important.
“Lokhi, on the other hand play attractive football and usually start their move from midfield. Numerical superiority in the midfield region cost them the match.” The former Torpedo Moscow player was quoted as saying.
Bushmanov warned the Koni against complacency and urged them to concentrate on the remaining matches of the ongoing season.
