Leonid Slutsky has urged the Argentine striker to sign a contract as soon as possible and has hinted at more signings at Luzhniki during the winter transfer window
There is little arguing to the statement that CSKA Moscow nearly signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/RSC-Anderlecht-c40394 striker, Matias Suarez, this summer after negotiation with the Belgian club regarding the potential fee of the mercurial forward.
However, the move hit the rocks after the 24-year-old failed to pass his medical ahead of the big move to the Russian Premier League club. Consequently, Suarez was told to get an operation done in order to complete the signing.
And while Suarez has now been declared fit by the doctors to complete a move to Moscow, journalists have asked CSKA coach, Leonid Slutsky, about the stance of the club regarding the controversial move.
Slutsky has confirmed that the Armeytsy are still interested in bringing Suarez to Moscow during the winter transfer window. However, the chief insisted that they will officially confirm the signing only if the player clears his
medical.
“He's still under medical examination at the moment in Germany. I'm not a doctor so I cannot tell you any time frame. But I think somewhere by Friday, I will be able to answer. I think now is not the right time to discuss the quality
of Suarez but it is clear that we want to sign him.”
"I think the winter CSKA will get a maximum of two players but much depends on Suarez’s will.” The former Uralan Elista man was quoted as saying.
Speaking on his efforts to build relationships with the players of the team, Slutsky said
“In order to achieve maximum performance on the field, there should be a lot of communications between the coach and the players.”
The 41-year-old coach told that he likes to help the players become more disciplined, organized and better players in the near future.
