my dog is about 7-8 yrs old

(got him from sspca shelter and they said he was 1 but the vet told us he was closer 2 and a half)

anyway

a few weeks i noticed a small lump on his head, the size of a small spot, and i thot he had got a tick

now its a bit bigger and is about the size of a pea

what could it be,its NOT a tick it looks like a spot

and should i take him to the vet?

  1. Our dog had a few, they're the dog version of wart like or mole-like things. Don't worry too much but don't fiddle with it and if it's in the way or changes colour or breaks or something then go to the vet. Have it checked up anyway.

  2. i would say go to the vet and get his / her advice as you dont no wat i is

  3. A webcam?

  4. It sounds like a cyst. I would take him to the vet though, to check its not cancerous

  5. It could be a cyst but I'm not sure.

Take him to the vet to be on the safe side.

  6. Take him to the vet, preferably not the same one that diagnosed your parents dog.

  7. better to be safe than sorry! go to the vets

  8. IF ITS GROWING YOU SHOULD TAKE HIM TO THE VET! BUT IF NOT THEN JUST GIVE IT SOME TIME AND SEE IF IT GOES AWAY!

  9. if i was you i would take your dog to the vet

  10. Take him to the vets.  Ticks are brown in colour and do get bigger but dont take a few weeks to do so, unless it dropped off without you noticing and re attached in the same place - unlikely though
