Small Crack on Panasonic PT-40LC12 Projection HDTV.

Question

I have a Panasonic PT-40LC12 with a crack about a half an inch in diameter on what seems to be just an outer protective screen. The crack may be inside, after feeling the screen it feels completely smooth. Can this be easily replaced? I don't know very much about TVs so your help is much appreciated.
