Small black flying bugs attracted to lamps in living room. Only when light is on do they come out?

They have clear wings..small bugs..just fly around the lamps.

Almost all bugs are attracted to light, so there's a huge variety of pissibilities as to what the bug could be.

From your description, it sounds like a fly or maybe a moth.

There are many little black flies that look just like an ant with wings.  In Fact in the spring there is an ant with wings, it is the males coming out to mate.  I find them at the window trying to get out during the day.  (there nest is under my concrete garage floor)
