Small business options,looking for Ideas.?

Question

Im looking for some Ideas as im wanting to start up a small business with my brother. I just want to do something that wont really be affected by a bad economy. A career that has high profit potential.

At first we though of Lawn care,but with gas prices rising,it doesnt seem to profitable.

One idea you might want to take a look at is a home based business. When business is slow, you won't have to worry about covering your lease.  You also want to look into industries where the product or service is in high demand.  Not a fad or a gimmick but something people need and use daily.  One idea would be in the telecommunications industry.  Everyone always uses and pays for some sort of telecommunications service.  Rather it's a land line, Internet, cellular phone, or television.  People are always going to use it and pay for it each month, regardless of what the economy is doing.  That's one idea for you to look into.  

Having a business from home, doesn't get affected by the gas prices because you operate your business from your home.  My husband and I have been working from home for seven years.  With people who have to commute to work, it highly effects them, but not home based business owners.

well how old are you and it takes money to make up really not that maybe good jobs because of people cuting back i could just look at small business to see whats doing good right now
