is there any modification that can be done to help reduce fte stovepipes in .32acp and .380acp in small frame pistols like sig p230/p232 or walther ppk's? recoil spring changes, feed ramp polishing and alignments etc?

  1. Stop shooting limp-wristed. That the main cause of stovepipes. Polishing the feed ramp only helps with feeding. If it was a too-strong recoil spring, the case probably wouldn't even extract fully. Changing the ejector angle wouldn't help, either.

  2. Stovepipes are almost always related to a grip problem.

  3. Stovepipe jams are usually caused by something much simpler. One of 3 things.

    1. not holding the firearm firmly enough (limp wristing)

    2. Defective Magazine

    3. Inferior ammo try different types until you find one that works. The cheap stuff may cost you more in the long run.
