when i bought a kitchen table and some bedroom furniture and was told it was all wood, i got it pretty cheap but was lead to believe the whole time it was all wood, 8 months later a piece of the table falls off and its veneer covered particle board. I tried to get a refund and was told i was lied too, but the manager said that there was nothing they would do and i get what i paid for. is this something i can take to small claims?

i dont have it in writing. I told the sales person i didnt want particle board when i was buying and was told this stuff wasnt.

  1. In my opinion, you would only have a chance at getting your money back if the salesperson admitted to the court that they lied to you.  However, if you have a cheap way of starting the lawsuit, you may be able to scare the manager enough to just give you your money back.  Whether he admits it or not, he can easily take care of this situation if he wants to.  You just have to bother him enough.
