  1. Haha the person above me isn't a scam?  Anyways, to start making money "quick" you'll need money to invest.  But if you have a little time I suggest going to www.xoshua.blog.com and reading my article on making money online with shares, stocks.

  2. Talk to other organic farmers and producers in your area - local farmers markets are a good place to start. Also look to see if there are any local food centres specialising in this that you can learn from. Visiting other areas to see how it is done in other places can also help.

Then talk to the national regulatory bodies for organic food and other bodies - in the UK the Soil Association and Garden Organic (formerly the Henry Doubleday Research Association) are two bodies well worth speaking to.

  3. You will need a market. if you do not have customer(s) lined up before you raise livestock or crops you may well end up eating what you raised.

You will also need refrigeration and freezers if you are doing produce or meat/eggs as well as a slaughterhouse nearby that is USDA or state inspected if you intend to sell this stuff to restaurants, hospitals, grocery stores, at farmers markets, etc., (most, but by no means all states allow you to slaughter your own as long as you do on farm sales only).

If you are selling the products as organic you need to be certified by the USDA which takes 3 years to do. if you make under $5000 in gross income you can call your stuff organic without certification but you must follow all the regulations as far as paper work, using only organic grain, seeds, fertilizers, have a crop rotation plan, using a certified organic slaughterhouse facility, etc..

Chickens for meat are fast, they take 4 to 8 weeks. Leafy green crops like lettuce, spinach take around 40 to 50 days until harvest. Most other things take longer.

  4. You need money, land and lots of patience as it all has to grow.
