Small mini computer?

Question

Okay... i know it sounds dumb but right now i have this big computer (not the monitor, the ACTUAL computer that runs everything) and its really big and takes up a lot of space. Does anyone know if they're is any computers that are small in size but do the same job? Ty in advance

You may have a very big case.  Look inside (but don't EVER touch anything inside without first grounding yourself on something metal outside the computer - static electricity is dangerous to computer parts) and see whether there's lots of space.  Maybe you can just get a smaller case and have someone help you transfer things.  Just remember that smaller case = likely to heat up more and you may need to add some fans.

Yep. you can get one built, or buy a pre-built machine with a micro atx board and case.

if you use the right stuff you can make a machine thats about the size of two dvdrom units.

alternately a laptop is another compact option, but may cost quite a bit more for the same processing power.

Small cases are not great for gaming, but if you're just using it for normal day to day computing and dont need to fit too many cards in it, (generally only have 2 pci slots) then they're fine

They are not as expandable as the big ones though....

Even apple makes a micro atx machine called the mini...

Well it depends on what type of performance your really talking about. If you got it maybe a couple years back meaning four through six, then it is likely you will be able to find a computer that will do the same job and taking less space.
