  1. This is typical of damage due to the presence of leather  jackets, larvae of the crane fly (daddy long legs). The holes have been made by birds searching for the larvae. Not particularly serious will soon grow over when larvae have matured and flown into your home. You can always apply some fertiliser to aid the regrowth.

  2. If its leather jackets you have a real problem. We got them 2 yrs ago, and they stripped out lawn, just leaving a few patches. It has taken 2 yrs to get it back.

  3. You could buy pesticide that will kill many kinds of bugs and fertilizes your lawn at the same time at your local nursery

  4. Sounds like Fusarium.

Does your lawn consist of fine grasses ---bents, browntops? If so they are susceptible to Fusarium which is a fungus disease.  The fungus appears when the weather is warm and humid, usually in Autumn but can appear any time.

    Also appears after fertilizing lawn.

Is very disfiguring and lasts for some time but the grass will renew itself.

  5. could be grub worms. See if you can pull out the grass in clumps.

  6. I know cat/dog pee will turn a lawn yellow
