  1. hermit crabs, finches, fish,

  2. kitty cat

  3. I think a pair of chinchillas would be a good bet for you.  They aren't that much effort, just 30 minutes a day.  let them run around a chinchilla proof  room while you are in there doing homework.  They do need a big cage.  If you get two chinchilla's they can play while you are gone.  A lot of people try to say chinchilla's aren't social, but they really are, mine play together all of the time.  The care you will need to give daily would be checking their food and water.  The cage should be cleaned weekly, if you go a couple weeks sometimes, they will get over it.   I have never found a stinky chinchilla.  They bathe themselves, in dust.

To people that complain about outside cats: Go to a shelter, look at how many unwanted cats there are living in tiny cages hoping to be adopted.  My outside cat lived to be almost 17!  Is it the safest? no, but it sure beats living their lives in tiny cages and eventually being euthanized because there was no one that wanted them.  Whats more cruel?  Where do cats naturally live?

  4. Cats are real easy own of the easyis pets.Turtls are good and so are fish.

  6. hermit crabs, bunny, snake maybe?

  7. It is called a ferret, not a ferrit. They are a lot of work, not what you said you are looking for. They have a musky smell to them, most think they stink. You need to clean their litter box 2 times a day, their bedding 1-2 times a week, change food and water every day. They need rabies and distemper shots yearly.

On average expect to start out spending $500 just to get the supplies, a cage, and one ferret. It is best to get 2 ferrets because they are social group animals.

    Average costs:

    Ferret - $130

    Good cage - $100-$300

Good food - $20 for 4 lb. bag

    Toys - $30

Vitamins (ferretone, ferrelax, ferrevite) - $25

    Bedding - $15

    Hammocks and sleepers - $30

    Shots + check up - $100

They are also prone to many diseases when they hit age 2-3 and up. You will need to have an emergency fund of atleast $1,000. Many people spend upto $3,000 on one ferret alone per year.

Ferrets require a minimum of 3 hours of pure playtime/exercise. They are not caged animals! They are just like a cat or dog (responsibility wise) and need the same attention if not more.

It is a lot of work and they are expensive. Please do your research first if you want one, contact me if you need anything else!

EDIT: If you are not home a lot DO NOT get a ferret. They can get depressed and ill if they do not get a lot of attention, exercise, and proper care.

  8. A hermit crab!

For the being present most of the time other pets I wouldn't recommend.

  9. Unfortunately I don't think a ferret9believe me, I used to rehabilitate/adopt abused and unwanted ferrets. I had eight at one point in time and they're alot of work] or chinchilla would be a good choice for you if you have to work and go to school.  Ferrets need time out of their cage and chinchillas need alot of socialization in order to make them great pets.  Hamsters, gerbils, mice and even rats would be a great pet for you.  I have owned all four and they have all been wonderful pets.  My favorite would definately have to be hamsters.  My hamster is named Kevin and he is the best hamster I have ever owned.  He sits on my bed with me when I'm doing homework or watching TV and he doesn't cause any trouble.  I feed him everyday and change his bedding out once a week at the most[it depends on what size cage you have].  He's very low maintenance and is a joy to have.  Rats and mice are also great animals if you don't have alot of time.  They're fairly inexpensive and are very social.  They're both really intelligent too!!

    Good Luck!!!

its one of the few pets with no smell

  11. well my answer would be a snake! yeah i said snake. i used to be scared horribly of them. till we were at a pet shop and the kids begged me to hold one. well i was terrified. but i sat still and the lady let out a python and it was BIG. it came to me checked me out and put it's head in my lap. so i petted it and i liked it. so we ended up getting a ball python. they stay small males about 4ft. females 6ft. believe it or not they do get attached and spoiled. he makes a great pet. you have to put them on a feeding schedule same day once a week. and clean out poo every time you see it. change cage filler once a month. learn to handle them. right off. you don't have to do it everyday, but several times a week. my now 7 year old has handled him since she was 2 years old. she wore him as a belt around the house when he got big enough. they are very gentle. he has never bitten any one. we now have a second snake, a red tail boa. he is also friendly, but oh does he have big teeth. but he has never bitten either. but i know snakes creep some people out. but it was just an idea.

  12. get an ANT they are great pets...better get two ants so they dont get bored!

  13. please dont get a chinchilla ferret or bunny if u wont be home alot!! they need lots of time out of the cage. and besides ferrets stink really bad!! if u want a rodent get a hamster. they are the easiest rodent to care for!! and as long as u clean there cage once a week they wont stink!!!
