Small speakers?

I would like to replace my bose speakers with something else. I have four double cube speakers most recent range and I want a change. I have looked at the Anthony gallo ball speakers and also the KEF egg is there anything else out there that I am missing and or what would be a good buy. They have to be good quality, very small and good looking!

Anything will be an improvement over Bose.

Klipsch systems have some reasonably sized satellites, and you have the added advantage of separate midrange and highs. But, if you're looking at Gallo stuff, you probably turn your nose at reasonably priced Klipsch.

Just, whatever you do, don't buy another Bose system. You'll thank yourself.

OK OK with the Bose. At one time I as well said ( No highs no lows, they must be Bose!) But I've changed my evil ways. I'm not saying Bose are best for your Application but I will say they don't; suck as much as some may say.

That said, if you really want to do some shopping I'd follow these steps.

1) Find several units in your price range.

2) Eliminate the ones that do not fit your design or room decor.

3) Look at the IMPORTANT SPECS not the BS that manufactures spew.  Look at the dispersion both horizontal and vertical. Look at the size of the voice coil in the bottom end. ( the bigger the better) Look at the the materials that make up the cabinet and for that matter the rest of the components in the box. DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN WATTAGE! these ratings are often embellished.

4)   Lastly, if you can use your ears. If the units are on display in the local store, go give them a listen. Ensure that if you take them home and your not happy that you can bring them back. That's the advantage of a local provider!

I will throw out the name of some units I have installed in very high end homes and some conference rooms at advertising company that seems to serve well. Jamo.
