in our SMALL town there is a annexation trying to happen (not had one in 20 yrs) and it so happens one of the city council members will be affected by the annexation , he owns property & business in the area he & his (tell him how to walk wife ) is AGAINST it but he took oath and is suppossed to be for city growth and the city as an alderman council member any ways does any one know if it is a conflict of interest issue if he is allowed to vote against it and be the deciding vote (as he already was on first reading) if it would be could we as citizens file law suite on city for letting him THANKS

  1. All of these little towns should be annexed to avoid the duplication of costs which just drive up property taxes.

  2. All small town have the same problem. Take a lemon and turn it into lemonade. Take advantage of it being small.  Get into politics.  The old saying "if you cant beat them join them.  Make friends in town and let your friends know your thoughts and if they have the same sentiment. Run in the next election.  Run the bums out!
