Googled with no luck, basically I'm referring to a remote island in the middle of the ocean, how large or small would this island need to be to acutally support freshwater?

  1. It depends on what kind of geology is present on the island which would dictate the hydrology that is there as well....for example if it is an island made of igneous rocks from a volcano then it could form in a way where rainwater will collect in a small pond or even a lake and be held in and seperated from the ocean water by the impervious igneous rocks. However if it is just a simply sandy beach island then it would need to be very large because although there is a good amount of groundwater it would all have a large amount of saltwater influence
