Manchester United’s Chris Smalling has claimed that he wants his team to end the season with at least one trophy.
Based on the standards that the team has set for itself, United are currently going through one of their worst seasons.
The team is currently out of the Champions League and it also went on to crash out of the FA Cup.
However, the Red Devils are still in the Europa League, while they are maintaining the pressure of the league leaders, with just two points keeping them away from the top spot.

The young English defender is quoted to have said: "I was lucky to win the league in my first season and, at the risk of sounding greedy, I want to win the league every year”
"That’s how it should be at Manchester United. In fact, I’d be disappointed if we didn’t win at least one or two trophies every season.”
Smalling then went on to admit that the Europa League was something that was
definitely worth winning. The young defender feels United could easily make it to the finals of the competition, should they maintain their focus.
The United centre back then went on to add: "You only need to look at the teams who are still in the Europa League to realise it’s a competition worth winning,"
"We want to reach the final, although we know it won’t be easy. All of the players will be going out on the pitch and giving our all to reach the final."
Given the form that United have started to display over the last couple of months, the team is still in contention to win the Premier League trophy.
However, should the Red Devils be able to maintain their performances in the Europa League, they could easily see themselves make it all the way to the finals, as they look to take home the European trophy at the end of the season.
