I do not want Smallville to end, how do i become apart of the rating.

The ratings are compiled by companies that use a cross section of viewers whose viewing habits they monitor and thus collect data which is valuable to the advertising companies.

The higher rated shows get advertisers that pay more for the advertising slots.

This is how the system works.

You cannot become part of the ratings easily since people are selected by criteria that is not usually revealed.

For your sake I hope there is a sudden surge of viewers to Smallville, and when this is picked up, they decide to extend the show.
