Smart Step set to stand first in A2 480m Flat
The M. Baker trained black dog, Smart Step, is all set to bag his maiden A2 victory by winning the A2 480m Flat that will be held at Monmore racecourse on Monday night, September 3. The high-voltage contest is scheduled to commence at 18:11 (GMT).
For £146, the two-year-old veteran hound will run audaciously against five strong competitors after breaking from the orange box.
The dashing dog has been doing well since the dawn of the calendar year. On July 9, he grabbed the 10¼-length clean victory. He moved on to win a couple of T3 races in a row later during the same month.
After finishing as the runner-up in the A4 480m Flat on August 4, the skilled sprinter notched up the top spot in each of the two subsequent outings on August 13 and 17.
The son of Ninja Jamie out of Supreme Hestia grabbed the third position in his last outing entitled as A2 480m Flat. Thus, Smart Step has been smart and successful throughout his career.
Considering his excellent track record, it is hoped that the brilliant hound will be able to thrive emphatically in tonight’s marathon. However, he will have to be cautious of Cappa Cochise who too wants to earn his first ever A2 success.
The P. Burford trained black dog started his career in April 2012, winning two T3 races during the same month.
The son of Kinloch Brae out of Mottee Hilda delivered some decent performances during the last couple of months. After winning the A4 480m Flat on July 27, he nicely sealed top spot in the A3 480m Flat on August 4. These two consecutive triumphs gave him
immense confidence and courage.
Thus, Cappa Cochise poses to be a strong greyhound who has enough potential to impede Smart Step. In this scenario, a fierce battle is expected between these two mighty hounds.
The spectators are likely to derive a lot of amusement from the heated action. This is the time for Smart Step to prove how smart he is actually. Good luck to him along with all of his rivals.
