Smarter - Water Turtles or Tropical Fish?

Smarter, Water Turtles or Tropical Fish? I've owned both and after seeing my turtle chomp on his own waste, I've come to the conclusion that Fish are smarter. :) When I had tropical fish like cichlids, they used to care for their own young for several months. I don't think turtles do that. My read ear slider turtle is cute though.

hey,instincts and brain are not of the same level,you know.cichlids care for their young because it is on their own instinct to do so.mind and instinct is not the same.

turtles are smarter.fishes(not to be rude to owner) are actually dim-witted.their memory lasts only for about 1 second and their brain doesn't work much seeing that they don't have much space in their bodies for their brains.

scientifically speaking,a turtle is much smarter.too long to explain...hehe...
