Smiler Jack and Bridge Bandit to lock horns in The Coral Essex Vase - Heat 4
Smiler Jack and Bridge Bandit are set to lock horns in The Coral Essex Vase - Heat 4 at Romford in England on Friday, November 30, 2012. Both of them will be looking forward to a strong run in the Grade OR event and it will be interesting to see who manages
to make his team proud at the end of the day.
The former of the above two greyhounds has been declared as the outright favourite to succeed because of his ability to deliver top quality results with consistency. He has battled against the best at the highest level and still managed to come out at the
top of the table.
Due to this, it will be difficult for the punters to risk many bets against him, as he will not make life easy for his opponents. Despite that, some bettors might end up gambling on Bridge Bandit, who has the ability to spring up a surprise in the end.
There are some other decent greyhounds attracted towards the race, which will spice up the competition. The winner will walk away with a cash prize of £175, so everyone will be giving their best shot.
Stamina will be important more than the speed, as the overall distance to cover will be 575 metres. Although, the starting positions will not make a big difference, yet some of the participants would want to be aggressive in the earlier stages of the event
in order to gain momentum.
No matter what happens, it will be extremely difficult to prevent Smiler Jack from finishing on top of the table. He has been given a general starting price of 10 to 11 and will enter the contest from trap number four.
The C. Mosdall’s trained hound has managed to succeed in his previous three Grade OR races, which shows that he is in dominant form right now. All his victories have come easily and no one has even managed to come closer to him.
Hondo Black’s son started off his most recent race from trap number two and took the top spot comfortably in the end. He will be looking to repeat such a show once more, but will have to keep Bridge Bandit in sights this time around.
