Smiler Jack expected to impress in the Coral Essex Vase – 1st Semi-Final
The most promising entry for the first semi-final of the Coral Essex Vase is the two-year-old black dog, Smiler Jack. He has drawn the third trap and is backed by 10 to 11 odds for the success tonight. The dark hound has already struck beyond hat-trick by
landing the prize money of the last four open races.

The two-year-old out of, Precious Beauty, broke into an early pace and did not wait for very long to lead the track, taking 35.33 seconds to make it to the other end of the wire.

The favourite entry set clear that he is not trap specific, speeding out of the fourth stall and making the transition to the other end in 35.34 seconds.
