Smog Check Documents Problems!!!!!! help me please!!!!!?

i just bought a new ride and

i went to DMV today and trying to change the owner's name of the pinkslip,the lady said i need to bring the smog check document or the numbers,the old owner just did the smog check on april,he told me he didnt have the document,its online,what can i do with this,i dont wanna do the smog again,sorry my english is so bad,please forgive me...

You need to check how long a smog test is good for.

In CA they are only good for 90 days and then you need to retest.
