Smoke Fairy in contention of winning a Grade A2 contest at Hall Green
Smoke Fairy is expected to be competitive in the 480 metres flat race at Hall Green in England on Monday, November 19, 2012. She has been representing her team at the highest level with consistency and her performances have not been too bad.
She will be taking a drop in class today, which means that there will be lesser pressure on her in the Grade A2 contest. This is not the first time that she will be running at this level and knows how to take the fight to her opponents.
Things will not be easy for the young b***h though, as she will be up against some decent greyhounds, who have been doing a decent job for their respective teams over the past many months.
Starting positions will be important in the flat race, as the overall distance to cover is not much. The one who gains an early momentum will be in a better position to attack the rest towards the final few metres.
The triumphant greyhound has a chance of bagging a cash prize of £122, thus everyone will be pushing extremely hard today. This will make the competition quite interesting and the spectators will be looking forward to the start of action at 13:51 GMT.
Ballymac Boy has managed to win the confidence of the bookmakers, as he has been given the highest odds for victory. His performances have not been much impressive in recent times, but he will still get the attention of the punters, as he is capable of finishing
on top of the table in this class.
The A. Grewcock’s trained hound took part in a Grade A2 contest last time around and was unable to make an impression in it. He was given pretty decent odds back then, but had to settle for fourth place in the end. He will be entering the competition from
trap number two and will be hoping to get a clean run from that position.
On the other hand, Smoke Fairy will break in from a couple of positions lower than her main rival and she will be eying a strong run today. She failed to deliver a good result in her most recent outing in a Grade OR contest, but has a chance to make amends
this time around.
