Smoke coming from 12inch dual ported boxstill still bangs dont hear any difference what is the smoke smell

i have 2 12 JLw1v2

should i take the subs out and check the problem and if so by taking the subs out will it still be a tight fit s******g it back into the box

or should i just ingore it im confused are my speakers going bad but the subs stll bang like they were new

  1. Oh ****! You got the wiring messed up. Rewire the subs up. Are they 4 ohm or 2 ohm subwoofers. What amp are you using. Are you wired at 8,4,2, or 1 ohms?

    The wires inside the box could have gotten fried


  2. It may be due to the fact you don't know how to properly set the gain (as you have proven with one of your answers).

    The purpose of the gain is to match the signal volts RMS coming from the source (CD player, etc.) to the input of the amp to prevent clipping (damage by over powering).

    You'll need a multi-meter (AC voltmeter), Microsoft Excel and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

  3. Yea dude check the wiring. I have unscrewed my subs out of the box like 15 times probably and they still s***w in. Good luck
