  1. Yes, I have upper respiratory problems and cigarette smoke really aggravates it. On many occasions I have had to ask my server to move me to another table because my non smoking table was too close to smoking and I could still smell smoke.

  2. Yes, I love it in Fl. as they are all smoke free.

  3. I am an ex-smoker and hate the smell of it , but I don't think it's fair for the people that do smoke to have to go outside.

I think that restaurants, bars, and other public places should have a sealed off smoking and also and non-smoking section.

Which ever one you choose should be up to you. We are losing too many of our` Freedoms ' already. People shouldn't be told what to do on their free time. Most of us get enought of that at work every day.

  4. Yes, because smoke pollutes air.

  5. Yes.  I live in Michigan and I work at a bar 5 nights a week I make great $  but we are a small establishment with no ventilation people smoke cigars and cigarettes and will exhale right into my face when I am working. When I leave I smell like an ashtray and my chest feels tight I fear for my safety.  People who want to kill themselves should step outside I just want to pay my mortgage.

  6. I do not support them nor do I patronize them.  When I spend money it's my choice where to spend it.

  7. I support banning smoking in resturants because there are a lot of babies and children, along with adults that are in them and do not deserve to get all that unhealthy smoke into their lungs.

  8. Yes, I support smoke-free restaurants. It is nice to enjoy meals in a fresh enviroment (or at least smoke free) because there is nothing worse then the smell of cigarette smoke after a nice meal. Even when it was partioned for smoking & non the scent still lingered.

  9. I support smoke-free restaurants 100%.  A restaurant, by definition, is a place to enjoy food as well as each others' company.  Smoke can inhibit this by invading the air space of others in a shared, closed environment.  It can also taint some food with its stench.  It ages the walls and can make a mess and be a fire hazard.  Those that smoke can wait until they are done eating to do so; it is not necessary to smoke right then and there.  The basic rights of others should not be compromised by those that wish to take part in activities not specifically designated for the establishment in that which they reside.  I, personally, wish to eat my food in peace, savor it, and not be distracted by a sudden foul odor created by those that have developed little or no self-control when it comes to nicotine.

The restaurant won't lose business, either.  People are still lazy, tired, and won't cook.  If they smoke, they'll still suck it up and go to a restaurant.  It will gain other business, as well.  It is good for all sides.

  10. i live in Scotland and smokeing is banned in all public enclosed areas. it is a pleasure to eat out or travel by train or coach now. most places have designated areas which are heated but open air where smokers can go and many freindships have started when people are out having a cig and making freind this way has been named (skipping).

  11. Yes!!  Its not right to smoke in a public building where non-smokers are.  You are then not only hurting yourself but then the others around you such as children, asthmic people, olderly etc.  Why should non-smokers be forced to breath in the toxic fumes that others blow out?

  12. Yes I do support smoke free restaurants because children eat in restaurants. I don't think non-smokers should be allowed to fill the patios though because that is not fair. If smokers are forced to smoke outside then non-smokers should be forced to eat inside.

  13. yes, and i smoke ---- i just go outside when i crave

  14. yes, smoking in a restaurant is disgusting! it ruins the atmosphere and the food and its bad for everyones health. go outside!

  15. As a smoker, I do not support it. When I go out a like to enjoy a smoke after dinner and now I can not. If I have a cocktail at the restaurant I like to smoke then as well. I think they could still have smoking sections. I don't think second hand smoke is bad in a restaurant. The polluted air these days is no better for you.

  16. Yes, I support the smoking bans in bars and restaurants!  I love going out and not coming home smelling like an ash tray.  I also LOVE smoke free Hotels!  Smoking is gross and someones bad habit should not affect others heath!!!

  17. i love smoke free resturaunts. Its a healty environment for other people who hate smoking!!!
