Smooth Nation likely to dominate Tb Racing 545
Smooth Nation is expected to dominate proceedings in the Tb Racing 545 at Mildenhall in England on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
The stamina of all participants will be put to a stern test, as they will have to cover an overall distance of 545 metres. The Grade OR event is scheduled to start at 20:30 GMT and following entries have been confirmed for it: Smooth Nation, Blackrose Monach,
Bestofthehawks, Parkers Man, Ard Vark and Jackdaw Summer.
Looking at the recent performances of all hounds, the bookies have shown faith in the abilities of Smooth Nation, who seems to be in spectacular form at the moment. It will be hard to stop him from winning the race today, thus the punters are likely to place
a lot of bets in his favour.
The M. Newberry’s trainee has done well at Mildenhall throughout his career. He is a regular at this venue, thus will be fully aware of the conditions. He has the speed and stamina to excel in any race, thus will make life extremely difficult for his rivals
today.
Importantly, the black dog has been delivering some winning performances over the past few events, which means he is carrying terrific momentum at the moment. He finished first in his most recent outing, which was his fourth consecutive victory at Mildenhall.
This goes onto show the kind of form he is in at the moment.
Smooth Nation is the son of Droopys Maldini out of Supreme Hestia and was born in October 2009.
Blackrose Monach, trained by E. Cantillon, might also manage to make an impression in the race, but it will be extremely difficult for him to finish on top of the table. He has got plenty of experience, thus cannot be ruled out completely.
The black dog was unable to meet the expectations of the bookmakers in his most recent outing, as he finished third overall, despite being rated as the favourite to win. He will need a stronger effort in order to prevail today.
Apart from the top two favourites, it will be difficult for the other hounds to fight for victory in the race.
