  1. The blender isn't really as good as a dedicated smoothie or juicer. However, some come with attachments and if you get a really good one they can be as good as a smoothie maker or juicer. You need to think £100 blender though.

Unless you are talking about one of those vertical blenders?

Juicers are expensive and the novelty wore off for me. First time I did it I forgot to wash the oranges I used. I don't like the taste either of all the pith and peel and so on. A bit bitter. I always end up going through loads of ice as well - so you need a big fridge or you have warm juice, or you add ice. It's cheaper, but after a while you end up with a stupid amount of fruit in your shopping. I'd rather buy a carton! You also have to wash up after every use. It's no big deal the way they are designed, but when I want juice, it's usually early morning and this sort of thing is a chore.

Smoothie makers are good, but you need to add apple juice to most smoothies to get a drinkable texture. that started to grate on me too. And some nice smoothies are made with raspberries, strawberries and blueberries and then they start getting expensive.

I'd probably get a smoothie maker on balance.

  2. i prefer blender just grind it well

  3. I found there was a problem when using a juicer, they usually don't do bananas, because bananas don't have juice, they have a pasty texture. I decided to go with a vase blender, but unfortunately they don't do orange juice unless you peel, take the pips and the segments skin.

Eventually my choice was to get a vase blender where I could throw any fruit I wanted and use ready squeezed orange juice with it.  Haven't looked back.

Don't bother with smoothie makers, they're just fancy vase blenders with a tap that keeps getting clogged and a stirring stick.

  4. You would need a Juicer plus either a smoothie maker or blender as they do different things.  The juicer extracts the juice from fruit and veg, and the smoothie maker/blender will just blend the whole fruit/veg up...

Presumably a smoothie maker would be better than a blender for making smoothies, but they might be more difficult to clean unless you buy a professional one.  Im not really sure though.

  5. i just use an ordinary blender and it works fine  couldnt be bothered with all those sharp attachments on a juicer

  6. blender deffo lol -x
