Olga Smorodskaya has lamented the Russian Premier League club’s current position on the league table and has refused to discuss Dmitry Loskov’s future
Lokomotiv Moscow president, Olga Smorodskaya, met with the union of supporters to discuss the current state of the Russian Premier League club. The conversation reportedly lasted about three hours, according to Sports.ru.
The meeting was held in the club office at Lokomotiv stadium which included top representatives of the Moscow-based club.
During this time the fans asked most of the pre-prepared questions about why the Railroaders are struggling at the league table and questioned the role of the head coach, Slaven Bilic.
Though they did receive some of the answers to the questions, Mrs. President disagreed with the fans who suggested the club’s management to start thinking about replacing the current coach in the near future.
From the first minutes of the meeting, Mrs. President chose an aggressive style of dialogue. However, the dialogue was little helpful in clarifying the stance of the club on change of management which reportedly failed to convince
the fans after the meeting.
Following the meeting, the fans unambiguously confirmed their distrust of the Moscow-based clubs president and to the entire management team, who are playing active role inside the structure of the club.
“The current eighth place is not good enough but you can see that we are just one point behind the fourth spot. And most importantly, the team is showing more character and consistency since Bilic has arrived.”
“In general, I think it is impossible to put a question on Bilic’s work. After all, in the last 19 rounds, he has done a lot of work. Lokomotiv signed new players recently and even good team needs time after reshaping process.
I think we should give them little more time," the 56-year-old was quoted as saying.
Commenting on Dmitry Loskov’s position, Smorodskaya remained coy over discussing the 38-year-old’s future at Moscow, insisting that Bilic will make a decision about his future when the championship restart in March.
Loskov, who joined the Moscow-based club from Saturn Moscow Oblast back in 2010, is yet to make a league start this season.
