Olga Smorodskaya refused to blame Bilic after Lokomotiv Moscow’s fifth Russian Premier League defeat this season and has expressed satisfaction over refereeing decisions
Lokomotiv Moscow dropped down to the 8th spot on the Russian Premier League table after suffering a 2-1 defeat against their arch rivals, CSKA Moscow, at Luzhniki stadium on Sunday.
The Railroaders played the match against the Moscow-based club on the back of a 1-2 defeat against Amkar Perm at home. Out of the last five matches in all competitions, the Lokhi have lost four including their Russian Cup exit
at hands of Terek Grozny.
Lokomotiv, meanwhile, are yet to record a win since September when they outclassed Torpedo Armavir in the cup tournament.
And while some of the famous football pundits are making negative remarks about Slaven Bilic, who joined the Russian outfit after resigning as the Croatian national team coach this summer, Olga Smorodskaya believes that it is still
too early to make conclusion.
Lokomotiv president has backed the under-fire manager to keep doing what it takes to get the team back on track, assuring him that his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is safe despite receiving a lot of criticism recently.
Smorodskaya, who blamed the match officials for their cup elimination against the Chechens, insisted that she is completely satisfied with the refereeing decisions in the match against the Armeytsy and credited his side for playing
top-class football despite going a man down.
“I'm rather pleased with the way the team is playing at the moment. We started the match well but things changed from bad to worse in the second-half of the match. CSKA are obviously a strong team and they have been on top in recent
years for the right reasons.
“I think this is not right to put question marks on Bilic’s career. We are definitely not expecting his resignation and definitely not after this match. The team played with dignity, the players struggled on the field but lacked
the luck element.” The 55-year-old was quoted as saying.
Lokomotiv will now play their next league tie against Anzhi Makhachkala, Smorodskaya urged Bilic to prove his critics wrong after inspiring the Moscow-based club to a win.
