Olga Smorodskaya has shared views on issues of refereeing in the Russian Premier League and has told that Slaven Bilic is satisfied with the squad at his disposal
Lokomotiv Moscow winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Samedov-c4609, picked up a straight red card after making some outrageous comments about the match officials during their 3-1 defeat in the Russian Cup round-of-16 against Terek Grozny at Akhmad Arena
on Wednesday.
The Russian Football Committee have now handed Samedov a two-match ban for his unprofessional behaviour on the pitch. In addition, the 28-year-old Russian right-winger has been fined 30,000 Rubles.
The Railroaders' president, Olga Smorodskaya, has blamed Samedov for his rude behaviour with the referees during the Russian outfit’s exit from the cup tournament, warning the former Dynamo Moscow player to be more disciplined
and organized in near future.
“It was an outrageous and shocking punishment given by the federation upon uttering disrespectful words to the officials. I understand that he insulted the judge," the 55-year-old was quoted as saying.
Smorodskaya went on to admit her frustration on the cup exit, saying that the Russian Premier League club failed to meet their expectation in the competition after having a successful tournament last term.
As the January transfer window is getting closer day by day, the media is linking players with top Russian clubs and Lokomotiv is no exception. However, Smorodskaya has ruled out any more signings after a busy summer, saying that
they are happy with the existing squad.
“We will work harder in order to get back on winning ways. I want it to happen as soon as possible just like the fans. But we need time and patience to get things back on track. I believe in the glory, I believe in our players
and I think we'll show we are capable.” She concluded.
As things stand, Lokomotiv are at the 8th spot on the league table with 21 points and trail the top-spot by nine points.
The Lokhi will play their next match against CSKA Moscow at Luzhniki stadium on Sunday and Smorodskaya seeks this as an opportunity to get things back on track after a series of disappointing league results along with their cup
elimination.
