Since my last snowboard was stolen, my boyfriend decided to go out and get me a new one. He came home with a 149. Every size chart I've looked at said I should ride a 144. Is this really a huge difference? He seems to think it isn't but idk?

  1. no actually 5 cenemeters doesnt mean really anything. its weird. im sure you will be fine with it. its harder to spin with a longer lenghtier board however.

  2. The question is; how big are you? How long have you been riding? What type of riding do you do? What type of board is it? What's your foot size?

  3. Size charts don't really mean all that much.  How big was your old board?

5cm won't make a huge difference, at first you might find it turns differently (requires a bit more effort) and is faster but it's not a huge deal.  Shorter boards are better for park riders but if you're mostly doing slopes you'll be fine.

Check the tags on the board, it should have a weight range and as long as you're in it you're good to go.
