I want to get a snake so bad. My parents agreed as long as it isn't huge and is nice to people. So my question to you is, what kind of snake doesn't exceed 40 inches, is great with people, and most importantly is great for a beginner.

  1. Awh you should get a corn snake! They're friendly and get to about 4 foot, they come in lovely colours and don't mind being handled :) They're also very easy to look after and so cute :D

  2. i would say a corn snake

  3. mushrum snake

  4. I recommend a corn snake, king snake. or ball python becuase they are easy to handle. As far as length goes there would really be no way to definitely tell how big your snake would grow.

  5. ball python

  6. a great snake for you would be a ringneck snake.they dont get bigger than 40 inches and they are very calm.Ive had one for a couple of weeks now and it hasnt even attempted to bite.they also eat insects so you dont have to feed them crickets.

  7. I would have to say a corn snake or king snake they only get about 3 feet and are very docile. They are also native to north america so it would be easy for them to adapt better. If you want some more info just look at these links... Hope I helped :)

  8. A corn snake is a great snake for a beginner and is great with people, but it may get up to 60". The "under 40 inches" thing is where you're going to have a hard time. Most snakes that are good for beginners get about 4-5 feet long.

  9. Ball pythons are great. A ball python was my first snake, and he's really friendly, never bitten anything other than his food. Here is a slideshow to give you the general idea of one. http://www.associatedcontent.com/slidesh...

  10. corn snake. they  get around 4 to 6 ft but aren't very thick so 10 extra inches won't really matter, around. they are friendly, easily handled, come in very interesting colors, are curious and active, and never bite. Plus begginer is their middle name.

  11. A corn snake!

Here's a place to get one,

  12. A regular boa constrictor. I have had a couple of them and they have a very good temperament. You just have to make sure that you handle your snake every day so that he gets used to being around people and pets. My snake's name was Harry.
