  1. Try feeding it at night.

  2. Please try and convert her to frozen thawed mice or at least pre killed, it may take a while but its going to pay off in the long run.

She might have been attacked by a mouse in the past which is why she's acting this way.

Frozen eliminates this risk and still provides a tummy full of food which is all the snake cares about. Thaw them out in water, making sure they are nice and warm before you try and feed so it mimicks the heat of a live animal. Get some long feeding tweezers and just dangle and move the mouse around like a real one would.

If she doesn't take it, leave in it the enclosure overnight and see what happens. If its not eaten by morning, remove it, wait two weeks and try again. If she's hungry enough she will eventually take it. The few weeks wait wont hurt her at all, they are capable of going months on end without food.

Remember any rodent, whether be a mouse or rat is capable of severely wounding a snake.

    Good luck.

  3. try frozen

  4. Usually temperature and humidity are to blame for poor appetite, as well as stress.  Use an under tank heat mat and plug it into a dimmer switch or thermostat to adjust temps.  Only use digital probe thermometers to measure accurate surface temps.  What is her humidity?  I also agree to try to get her on frozen/thawed.  It is much safer for the snake and decreases parasite infection.

    A good site to check:

  5. It sounds like you just got the snake not very long ago? If so try to give her about a week to settle in without being handled or offered food.

Generally I offer food within 48 hours of bringing a snake home. If they take great, but if not they go on a 7-10 day "no touch" quarantine period where I just make sure their tank stays clean and their water changed.

After the time is up they almost always eat assuming I've done everything else right. Especially husbandry.

Also once you have it eating save yourself the headaches and switch it over the frozen/thawed.

  6. Ball Pythons do not eat every week,They eat every two weeks,You do not have to try frozen,She is not scared of it shes just not hungry. You also cannot feed snakes while there shedding

  7. try frozen or sometimes ball pythons dont eat for long period of times ...i wouldnt worry

  8. they should be fed monthly.

some can go out with out food for a year.

    i have two myself.

    so dont worry.

    :]
