Snake help?! Please?

Im getting a Ball Python soon and i need to know how much an average one [healthy] eats, like once a month or once a week?

and how much does it cost for rats?

If you can't afford to feed a pet properly, find a cheaper one or stop eating so much yourself in order to save the money for your snake. You might be able to save a bit if you can skin the feeder animals and feed the carcasses plus the skins stuffed with organ meats (such as liver) and sewn up. Some snakes will accept it, especially once they have started eating; some won't.

once a week. it should be about a dollar for mice. rats are probably a little more. if you forget to feed it for a month it won't die or anything, but i think it is something you shouldn't do all the time.
