I believe that I have a snake tunneling under my driveway. I fill the holes in and next day there is a new one. Any thing that will drive snake or whatever is doing this away?

  1. They could be gophers. If you want to get rid of them, smoke bombs designed for that purpose are available, and are not very expensive. Check local laws and restrictions regarding their use first. After treating, fill in with dirt, rocks, sand, etc. I agree that snakes use holes dug by other critters. If you're curious as to what they are, you can get some of those sticky strips, nail to a board and place close to the holes. Just be mindful that you might catch a wandering skunk or something undesireable you will have to dispose of...you might even catch the neighbor's cat.

  2. sounds like moles but whatever it is buy a jar of hot peppers and pour the juice in the hole and cover it up.  Then eat the peppers

  3. Most snakes do not dig tunnels.  They use tunnels dug by other animals, so it is unlikely that a snake is trying to get under your driveway.  Rodents don't usually like to work out in the open.

You didn't say where you live, so I'm going to have to make a few guesses.  In the south, I live in Florida, armadillos like to dig holes in the lawn looking for grubs and worms.  They will often return every night if a particular patch of dirt appeals to them.  Mothballs are said to drive them away.

Certain types of tortoises like to dig holes, and one may have taken a liking to a spot next to your driveway.  Mothballs might work with them too.

  4. You've got a variety of choices.

    1.  Put a little straight concrete in the new hole and put water on top of it.

    2.  Poison

    3.  Trap

    4.  steel rods in the hole

    5.  some sort of noise that sets up a vibration that will lure the creature out.
