  1. Not really, it just becomes routine. If it's your first snake why dont you go for a corn snake, I have one and they're a really good snake for first timers. Very placid and easy to handle, and they dont grow to big, mine is 5 feet, they're also really good with other pets, as long as the other pet isn't a mouse!

  2. Nahhh. I don't mind really. It really depends on what type of bedding you have the snake on. If it is aspen bedding then you might have to clean it more often at least compare it to the Care Fresh(Critter Care litter) or the Dust-Free Fiber Pure Cellulose Cat Litter. That is because they are odor control and absorbs their waste or the water that they spill.

I only clean my snakes' cages once a month or so because it doesn't smell bad at all...though I still have to pick up after their p**p.

Well I would recommend one of those two bedding if you don't want to clean the cage every 1-2 weeks or so. It would be better and also would smell better. But cleaning it isn't as bad as most people would thought.

If you love your snake enough then it wouldn't matter if you have to care for it or have to clean after it. I love my snakes so therefore caring for them is just nothing. Plus they are the easiest animals to care for(though still needed to be treated the same as other animals)

    Hope this helps!

  3. Nah, ball pythons, or royal pythons, only poo every 2-3 weeks, and a portion of their urine is solid. Definitely not as much hassle as cleaning a litter box.

  4. they only sh-t like every 2 weeks once

  5. for me no non of my pets annoy me when i have to clean them out. it doesnt take long once uve got a system the only exotics that annoy me with clean in snail (there slime is a real b***h) lol

  6. no not at all its not exactly very time consuming and dont need to be done every week like some people say spot checks daily and full cleanout every say 3 weeks and this will keep your snake living a happy life. and unlike a dog they dont have to go for a poo every day lol

  7. Snakes are there best pets you can think of. They don't make a mess of their cage all the time. You need to clean only after feeding and that's not a daily chore. You need to handle them regularly to keep them tame and calm. Have fun.

  8. If you truly love your pet, cleaning the cage doesn't matter. Actually, it doesn't bother me at all when I clean out my snake or any other pet's cage. I do it because it helps them live a better life. It always bothers me when I see people that get lazy and just stop. Besides that, it doesn't get annoying at all.

Good luck. For further questions email or post more details.

  9. not unless you're a herpetologist.. [:

and u love the animal so much..

  10. No i dont think so. I have a ball python that i have had for 5 years now and it never gets annoying. Snakes are probably one of the easiest animals you could get. theres not much care required. you make sure they have water, feed them (more or less) every 2 weeks. and clean out the cage when it looks like it needs to be cleaned. If your not sure you can put years and years and years of you life to this snake then dont get it.

  11. not really because i enjoy them so much it doesn't bother me. but in the beginning it can be annoying but after a while you get used to it.
