  3. I can tell you as much as you want to know, but your questions should be more specific.  Crotalus atrox, western diamond back, Crotalus adamanteus, eastern diamond back.  Both are very dangerous snakes.  The western diamond back accounts for the most snake bite deaths in the US, which is a really small number, around 6 people die each year, but not all from westerns.  Eastern diamondbacks are the largest native venomous snake in the US, reaching 8 + feet.  They are relatively rare compared to westerns are are found on the east coast of the US.  The easterns have extremely potent venom, with both neurotoxic and hemotoxic qualities present,  This combined with their large size can make for very dangerous snake.  Both are live bearing snakes, that are in the pitviper family.  They have heat sensing pits behind thier nostrils are attached to optical receptors in the brain, thus allowing them to "see" heat.  These snakes are beautiful examples of the Crotalus genus which is only found in the western hemisphere.  Any more specific questions I would be glad to answer.

  5. Heres a couple webite links with good information(range where they are found, diet, on so on) and pictures. The first 2 are on western diamondbacks, the 3rd is eastern diamondbacks, and the fourth is a chart of the venom toxicities of many different rattlesnakes, including diamondbacks.
