Question:

Snapper Rear Engine Rider Starting Question?

I have a Snapper 28" Rear Engine Rider. This past weekend, it died after running through high grass. I tried to restart it and all it would do was "click". It will start by using the pull cord, but only click when trying to use the electric start. I have charged the battery and still nothing but clicks. I have checked the fuse behind the battery. Any ideas?

  1. ck battery connection. remove and reattach cable to battery.

  2. The starter is stuck. The clicking noise you hear is the solenoid kicking in, but the starter won't turn. It's either seized up or possibly you got grass caught in it somehow. If you're mechanically inclined, take the starter off and try to run it on your work bench . If not, call a repairman.
