http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 has finally made up his mind about the new contract being offered to him at AC Milan and he has chosen not to sign the deal
The club wants their star midfielder to cut a deal with them which increases the tenure of his stay until 2016 and also cuts back on his wages. Sneijder was being paid 6 million Euros at the outset of the deal but the new contract
says that the older payment will be cut back.
Sneijder and his representative held talks with the Nerazzurri management in order to negotiate better terms of agreement, since the player is not initialling the document as it stands currently.
His main concern was lack of play time on the field in the last couple of matches; in fact he has not been played at all since he returned from the break he took to mend his injuries.
“At this moment in time I have no reason to sign,” the former Real Madrid player commented. “How can I accept a new contract under these conditions when I am not even playing?”
The Dutchman made a brief statement to the press that said “As it stands, my decision is to not sign for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567.” that is a tough decision to make as it’s not in the best interest of both the player and the team. However the management
is also to blame, since they have not put together the best offer to retain a player of Sneijder’s calibre.
Internazionale will also take a major hit if they fail to hold on to the player; given their current form they desperately need the Dutch International in their camp. The higher ups need to bring a new deal to the table or they
stand to lose one of their finest players.
“I’m convinced that, with good sense, there can be a solution,” Moratti told paparazzi. “There is a certain amount of satisfaction from Inter, now it is up to the player.”
The allegations against the management that they are purposefully not playing the number 10 because he refuses to sign their bond are a blatant exaggeration according to the decision makers.
“He’s one of our players and he will play, or is at least available, for the Coach and for me. But he’ll play when he is ready and not because his name is Sneijder," the management reiterated.
