  1. The McMillan TAC-50 long range sniper rifle holds the record for longest confirmed shot

  2. the 416 barret can shoot 1 foot or less groups at 2500 yards and and the 416 is less powerful than the 50 but it can shoot farther because of its high sectional density bullets and thieir shape and aeorodynamic shape and the 50 bmg is the most powerful commercially made rifle in made in the world but it can shoot up to 8 foot or less groups at 2500 yards so its a tough choice superior accuracy or power and damage

  3. Just about anything in .50 BMG can reach out and touch someone at over 1 mile.

It's the training and practice that make it a possibility. Snipers and spotters are a special breed.

A well trained grunt can make pink mist at 800 meters with open sights...M1A

  4. the Barret m/107 i think is what you want, developed from  the m82,it shoots a .50 cal bullet out to 1800 meters but will kill to 2500meters!! at ranges of 1000mts it will put light armoured vehicles out by penetrating to the driver or blowing up the engine!

  5. Depends on the shooter.

I am an Olympic Class shooter - I can hit most anything at 500 yards with most anyting you hand me.  I have hit a beer can at 400 yards with a little tiny 22 Chipmonk used for junior shooters in front of crowd of 60 people.

On the other hand - I let people use my match rifles and they have done poorly with them.

Most people need a high tech sniper rifle like a fish needs a bicycle.

    Hope this helps

  6. I would say the Barrett M82 sniper rifle, it is a very accurate sniper rifle and can be very accurate even up to 1000 yards. It cost around $200 i think.

    More details:

Further development led to the M82A2 bull-pup rifle (1987), which was designed to be fired from the shoulder, but did not succeed, and was soon dropped from production. The M82A2 was obviously designed as a cheap anti-helicopter weapon, suitable for use against highly mobile targets when fired from the shoulder. The latest derivative of the M82 family is the M82A1M rifle, adopted by USMC as the M82A3 SASR and bought in significant numbers. This rifle differs from M82A1 in that it have a full length Picatinny rail that allows a huge variety of scopes and sighting devices to be mounted on the rifle. Other changes are addition of the rear monopod, slightly lightened mechanism and detachable bipod and muzzle brake. The Barrett M82 rifles were bought by various military and police countries from at least 30 countries, such as Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UK, USA and others. The M82 also is widely used for civilian .50 caliber long range shooting competitions, being fired accurately out to 1000 yards (911 meters) and even further.

  7. i aint the best of shooters, but with my .308 i can hit pretty much anything from a rabbit to a tin can out to 400 yards whilst using a steady rest.

  8. 50cal 1 mile plus, .338 loupa1500 meters

  9. Every decent rifle should be able to kill at one mile,of the class you desire, and that,s enough for anyone, unless you have a special job in mind.
